OC Fast Twitch Exercise of the Week: Front Squat

In this series, we’re combining both, giving you a behind the scenes look at how our developmental athletes have been training in the weight room, thanks to our partnership with OC Fast Twitch in Fountain Valley.
This week’s exercise is the ever-important front squat, the sometimes-forgotten sibling of its more popular brother, the back squat.
“The benefits of the front squat,” OC Fast Twitch general manager and trainer Josh Gage said, “is that it puts the weight in front of you, so it’s naturally pulling you forward. To stay in a good position, it really challenges your core.”
So don’t just load up on back squats. Make sure to add the front squat to the regimen.
