Kerri Walsh Jennings Donates ‘Kerri Court’ to Bishop Conaty – Our Lady of Loretto High School
Kerri Walsh Jennings has not been home much this season. She’s been to China, Malaysia, Brazil, back to China, Ostrava, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Japan, Austria, Moscow. All in less than four months. She’s competed in 16 tournaments and 84 matches, playing more than 7,000 points of volleyball, all the while helping to launch a business, p1440, and caring for a family at home, with three children and a loving husband.
And yet, on the rare occasions that Walsh Jennings is home, in the United States, she invariably makes time to give back to the community that has given so much to her throughout her career. Earlier this year, she donated dozens of new nets to Huntington Beach. In June, in between tournaments in the Czech Republic and Hamburg, Walsh Jennings partnered with Dicks Sporting Goods and donated $25,000 to Starlings Volleyball, in addition to hosting a clinic for 30 Starlings athletes.
And, now that Walsh Jennings has a 10-day stay in the U.S., she’s keeping busy doing much of the same, partnering with Good Tidings Foundation and LA84 to unveil a Kerri Court and Bishop Conaty – Our Lady of Loretto High School.
It’s the sixth court Walsh Jennings and Good Tidings have donated, and it marks the 203rd project of Good Tidings in the past 25 years.
“The Good Tidings Foundation and I have partnered up on many projects with the intention of spreading joy, opportunity, access and sport to the youth in various communities,” Walsh Jennings said. “I find it so fitting and so special that LA84 has graciously chosen to support our 6th beach volleyball court project that will be donated to such a deserving school of deserving young ladies; Bishop Conaty – Our Lady of Loretto High School. The greatest successes in my life have come alongside amazing human beings committed to excellence and service.”
